Are you scared becuase you think it's too soon, or that deep down you don't think he feels the same way? Trust your instincts on this. If you have an inkling that the time is right then don't let fear spoil your chance. You can always try working up to it by saying things like 'I love spending time with you' or 'I love how you make me laugh' etc. If you do come right and say it, say that you're not expecting him to say it back but you just wanted to let him know how you feel. Don't be down-hearted if he doesn't rush to return the sentiment the L-word can be a big deal for lads and it can take a while for them to get their heads round it. Chances are he's working up the courage to say it too!
